Our Story
Opalite Learning was founded by
Rosie and Martin Tormey
in July 2022.
Rosie and Martin are experienced professionals from the education industry. Having worked closely in supporting both academic and pastoral staff, and with students from diverse ages and levels, both are highly qualified and share a wealth of knowledge and expertise in teaching, tutoring, leadership and management.
Rosie and Martin’s collaborative expertise and passion for teaching, learning and behavioural pedagogy, has led to the development of Opalite Learning.
The organisation will have a real impact. They will inspire leaders and educators to develop whole programme improvements under the Ofsted framework, so that the students will confidently develop personal, professional and academic skills.

Rosie Tormey
Rosie has taught many subjects including English, Media and Drama at all levels, for various institutions and privately, and has a history of creating highly successful resources, tutoring programmes, teaching, learning and assessment materials, that have extensively improved the mental health and academic skills of many students.
Company Director
Martin Tormey
Martin has strategically managed the creation and implementation of whole personal development study programmes, covering core elements of the Ofsted Framework. He has a history of creating Outstanding, award nominated, tutorial study programmes for large FE providers. These programmes have not only covered the delivery content, but have also focused on the complete transformation of the institution's approach to student behaviours and attitudes.
